I had a dream…I had a dream during my university

days that I would contribute to creating a world

where everyone could enjoy life. And everyone

in the world would have the same options before them.

Time has passed. I have been involved in community development projects in a small country in the Far East, working with government organizations and local authorities.

 

But even now, I have a dream…I still have that same dream in my heart. I have not lost it.

I have spent my days creating new public facilities for community residents, supporting the renovation and reuse of old public facilities, and auditing municipalities to ensure they provide quality public services to their communities and residents.

While working on these projects, I have become acutely aware that private companies and everyone involved in them are in the same global supply chain and that no one’s wellbeing should be sacrificed for someone else's happiness.

 

Japanese people are generally gentle and sincere. Life is comfortable in Japan with its highly developed infrastructure.

However, Japan ranks 116th in the World Economic Forum's 2022 Global Gender Gap Index and remains a Tier 2 country in the US State Department's 2022 Trafficking in Persons Report.

 

Japanese people's general awareness of environmental issues is gradually improving.

However, SDG programs tend to end up as mere slogans, reflecting the homogeneity of Japanese society. Numerous examples of 'greenwashing' and 'SDG-washing’ can be observed around us.

 

So, I decided to implement sustainability consulting, little by little, to realize the dream I had during my university days.

 

We are a small, independent company, not a large corporation with significant capital. However, we feel that we are second to none in terms of our contribution to global society.

 

We will continue to make small efforts and pass on a better world to the next generation.
